Caring for seniors is a labor of love that requires a special person with just the right touch. That’s why, Live Well at Home by Eskaton is looking for those caregivers with a heart for caregiving. We are seeking compassionate and skilled caregivers and CNA’s who have a special passion for caregiving.

Job Openings:

  • Homemaker/Companion Caregiver
  • Personal Caregiver

Qualifications for all positions

  • High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
  • Successfully pass a written Competency Evaluation.
  • Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the elderly, and the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
  • Planning and preparation of nutritious meals
  • Demonstrate flexibility by adjusting readily to changing priorities and schedules
  • Highly productive with minimal guidance or supervision
  • Must submit fingerprints and be able to pass a Department of Justice criminal background check and drug test
  • Must be able to provide at least three solid verifiable references
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year verifiable caregiving experience or be certified as a CNA or HHA
  • Must have valid driver’s license, your own reliable car with proper auto insurance and have a good driving record with no recent at-fault accidents or moving violations
  • Must be able to clearly speak, write, and understand English
  • Must be licensed as a Home Care Aide (HCA) with the California Home Care Services Bureau [call us and we can explain the process]

Duties include but not limited to as a Homemaker/Companion Caregiver

  • Provides Companionship and Support
  • Assistance with walking and light exercise
  • Medication reminders
  • Provides transportation to and from appointments and errands
  • Assists with grocery shopping and meal preparation
  • Making beds, light housekeeping, laundry, supervising household maintenance
  • Running errands
  • Executing precise care plan
  • Report preparation

Additional Responsibilities as a Personal Caregiver

  • Assists with activities of daily living including: bathing, dressing, oral care, assistance with transferring and fall precautions, incontinence care
