Live Well at Home recently opened its new Caregiver Training Center.  With the move to our new location in Roseville, Live Well has dedicated space for caregiver specialized training.    In addition to the classroom training:

Live Well provides “hands on” transfer and body mechanics training with a hospital bed, Hoyer lift, gait belts, slide boards, wheel chairs and commodes.

The goal is to enable safe transfers!  This mandatory training is provided to all caregivers as part of their Live Well at Home orientation.

Live Well has additionally dedicated 4 computer workstations for caregiver online training and certification

which is provided through a combination of classroom and online training through the Institute of Professional Caregiver Education, a national training and certification company for caregiving professionals.

 

Our goal is to provide caregiver certification and training and meet the ongoing training needs of our caregivers and clients. Additionally, specific needs caregiver training is available for the many unique circumstances that require special training, such as:

  • Dementia training
  • Parkinson’s care
  • Body Mechanics and Transfers

Live Well also provides access to the Family Learning Center which contains a comprehensive list of videos, tips and training on many senior care topics.    Family Learning Center

Live Well at Home by Eskaton’s CAREGIVER ACADEMY can prepare you for a career in caregiving – NO EXPERIENCE REQURIED and NO COST TO ATTEND THE CLASS.

You don’t need to have ANY caregiving experience to succeed as a caregiver at Live Well at Home by Eskaton. While we do hire experienced caregivers, we also are looking for those with the “heart for caring” who have no caregiving experience and we provide initial and ongoing training and support to help you thrive in your career

It is as easy as A B C:

A – Interview for acceptance to the class

B – Complete the California Homecare Aide registration and Live Scan

[HCA registration = $25, live scan estimate = $75]call us – we can let you know the process

C – Attend the Academy

[28 hours of classroom and online study. Academy is held one week a month. Attendance at all classes and online courses is required.Apply here
